PROJECT OVERVIEW
Buffalo Academy of Science wanted to bring new energy to their campus while celebrating the creativity, curiosity, and identity of their students. The goal was to transform a 240-square-foot exterior wall into a vibrant mural that represented the school community and gave students a lasting source of pride and ownership.
OUR ROLE
Bright Space Murals designed and painted the mural in collaboration with 75 second-grade students. Students were introduced to the mural-making process and contributed their creativity to a design inspired by Buffalo Academy of Science’s STEM-focused identity. Through the project, students had the opportunity to see their ideas come to life on a permanent part of their school, turning a blank wall into a colorful reflection of their community.
“Working with Bright Space Murals was a truly magical experience! They hosted workshops with our 2nd grade students where they were able to help paint the mural. They were not only fantastic artists but also great educators! I would highly recommend!”
