Paint the Town Bright, Local Artists at Bright Space Murals Brings Light to Denver Communities

Andreas Kremer and Reina Luna, who are partners, created Bright Space Murals to bring art to businesses, schools, or anyone else interested in enhancing their surroundings. Kremer, originally from Maryland, moved to Colorado to pursue his love of snowboarding. He spent a winter working at Keystone Resort before moving to Denver to work for Never Summer, a popular snowboard brand. Reina Luna, who was born and raised in Denver, has been a massage therapist for over seven years and has had a passion for art for decades. She and Kremer met through a mutual friend after the COVID lockdowns ended and the world began to reopen.

Bright Space Murals Adds Color to the Community

Until last spring, there was a blank wall outside of Denver’s PREP Academy at 2727 Columbine Street. Thanks to Andreas Kremer and Reina Luna, the co-founders of Bright Space Murals, that wall is now adorned with butterflies, blooming flowers, the Colorado State Capitol building, and an inspiring message.

“Usually we create the design based off of the business’s mission; we revolve it around the business’s goals and create the art through that,” Luna says. “But the schools give us complete freedom, so we asked the kids, ‘What do you guys want to see? Because this is your legacy.’ So they created the whole concept, and we just were guiding them, helping them make the design work.”

Bright Space Murals, Investing in Mentorship & Community

After quitting my day job to pursue murals full-time, I quickly realized that being a skilled artist didn’t automatically make me a strong business owner. I connected with Influential Walls on Instagram and downloaded a free marketing guide they offered. That guide introduced me to email marketing, something I had never taken seriously before. I implemented what I learned right away, and it led to the biggest mural project I had landed at that point. That experience gave me the confidence to go all in. I invested in their mentorship program and had a call with the founder, Derrik. It was a huge financial stretch at the time. I had just left stable income, and every dollar mattered.
